Alcohol
Due to recent legislation changes, there will be a zero tolerance policy in regards to alcohol being brought in to the venue. This particular event will have low tolerance for any behaviour – whether influenced by alcohol or not – that has a tendency to negatively affect other attendees and their enjoyment of the party.
The following conditions relevant to alcohol apply to this party:
1. No alcohol will be supplied.
2. No alcohol is allowed to be brought in to the venue
3. Any attendee deemed to be excessively affected by alcohol or drugs will be asked to leave the event and their parents will be called to collect them. (We ask that all students keep this in mind and behave responsibly before, during and after the event to avoid disappointment).
It is extremely important to note, no one is permitted to have or consume alcohol at the event. JPEA, JPEM and JPLS hold no responsibility in the situation where someone sneaks in alcohol. However, with the use of multiple security guards and parental assistance, necessary precautions will be taken to avoid alcohol from being brought in to the venue.
Any bags brought to the event WILL be searched, tagged and will be accessible in company of a supervising adult.
Parental supervision
Parent supervision is essential to ensure that the night runs smoothly and that all attendees remain safe and enjoy themselves. Parents can help in many ways: by assisting with tagging bags or by simply monitoring any disruptive behaviour
We encourage parental involvement. We require a minimum of 10 parents present over the course of the night in order to assist the security and event organisers in ensuring that the night is safe and enjoyable for all. If you would like to be involved, please call Jack on 0413 166 079.
Security
There will be a minimum of 3-4 security staff on duty throughout the duration of this event to ensure the safety of all attendees (more for larger events). Any behaviour deemed to be unsuitable or unruly will result in the ejection of the attendee responsible. This will be at the discretion of the parent supervisors and security guards. Similarly, in the event that an attendee becomes ill, their parents will be phoned and asked to pick them up. No attendee will be permitted to leave unsupervised by an adult. Instead they will be accompanied until their parent or guardian comes to collect them.
As alcohol is not permitted to be brought in to the venue, everyone will be searched upon entry. Security reserves the right to search anyone on site at anytime throughout the duration of the event.
Wristbands
Wristbands will be provided, and if an attendee is found not to be wearing their wristband, they will be asked to leave by a security representative.
Lock-in
Once entering the party, no attendee will be permitted to leave the premises if they wish to return. If an attendee wishes to leave before the conclusion of the event, arrangements will be made for a parent or guardian to pick them up and they will not be allowed to return.
Transport
It will be the responsibility of Parents and Attendees to arrange safe transport to and from the party. Supervising parents will not take responsibility for the transport of attendees. In addition, supervising parents will not take responsibility for the welfare generally of attendees while the attendees are not at the party.
Registration
Please complete the Event Registration on this website with your parent/guardian present.
All registrations are the responsibility of the parent/invitee to complete on time and accurately. To avoid paying additional late fees, please ensure you purchase your tickets before the cut off date. This is critical, as the party will be cancelled if we don’t have a certain amount of money on hand.
Ensure you fill out ALL sections of the online registration.
Tickets are non transferable. No refunds will be given for change of mind. In the situation where the event is cancelled, refunds will be given.
Entry
Entry to the party will be at the absolute discretion of the parent supervisors and security guards. Any invitee who presents as obviously unduly affected by alcohol and/or drugs will be denied entry.
Entry will be permitted only for those on the list, so don’t forget photo ID. As alcohol is not permitted to be brought in to the venue, everyone will be searched upon entry.
Bag Room
There will be a bag/store room with designated carers. Parents and staff will be manning this area, however no responsibility will be taken for any lost or stolen property. We ask for parent volunteers to please volunteer their time to help with the bagging area, as well as offering overall supervision and duty of care. Bags and belongings will be able to be stored securely under parent supervision in a designated area. Organisers of the after party do not take responsibility for any belongings or possessions that may be lost, damaged or stolen. Backpacks and bags must be stored within the bagging area throughout the duration of the event.
No pay = no entry; no invite = no entry
Entry to the party is strictly by invitation only. There will be a list of invited guests at the point of entry. If you are not on the guest list you will not be permitted entry. It is particularly important for those organising the party to know the precise number of guests at the earliest opportunity as the number of guests naturally affects the catering and other logistical arrangements. Please therefore attend to payment of the entry fee without delay.
Photography/Videography
As previously mentioned, JPLS & JPEM coordinate both a photographer and videographer to attend and take photos/footage of attendees throughout the night. Your attendance at the event gives implied permission for your image to be used in any event photos/video. If however you do not wish for your image to be used, please advise the photographer on the night & contact JPEM via email or inbox. In the event that your image is used and you wish for the same to be removed, please contact the JPEM via email or inbox.
